This freeway is a key segment of the Tehran–Saveh–Arak–Khorramabad–Andimeshk–Ahvaz–Bandar Imam corridor, enabling efficient connectivity between one of the country’s most critical transportation axes and major regional centers.

It stands out as one of Iran’s largest and most successful freeway projects, both in terms of construction volume and execution time, as well as the significant reduction in route length and travel time it provides.

Remarkably, the freeway was completed in under 36 months, a record-setting achievement in the context of national road construction projects.
