This highway is a part of the Astara-Gorgan highway network, which is about 75 kilometers long and includes the bypasses of Lisar, Khatbe Sera, Talesh-Islam-Dinachal, Pere Sar and Rezvanshahr as a four-lane highway under completion. Its major parts, especially outside the bypasses, are completed and in operation.
