This highway forms part of the Astara–Gorgan highway network, with a total length of approximately 75 Km. It includes Lisar, Khutbe Sara, Talesh–Asalem–Dinachal, Parehsar, and Rezvanshahr bypasses, all developed as a four-lane highway.

The major segments, particularly those outside the bypasses, have already been completed and are currently in operation.
