Highway of Langarud bypass

Highway of Langarud bypass

Highway of Langarud bypass

Due to the urban expansion of Langarud City and the high volume of traffic—estimated at approximately 24,500 vehicles per day—using the northern route, the existing southern road, which has been developed into an urban boulevard, can no longer accommodate the growing transit demand, particularly for national through traffic.

To address this issue, the construction of a bypass road—outside the city’s comprehensive urban plan—was deemed necessary. This four-lane bypass is 11.4 Km long, beginning from the Talesh area in west Langarud (at Km 220 of the highway axis) and ending just before Shalman City.
