Variant of Imamzadeh Hashem Bottleneck on Haraz Road

The Imamzadeh Hashem route on the Haraz Road is one of the most vital access corridors to the northern provinces of Iran. As part of the effort to improve this strategic route, the construction of the Imamzadeh Hashem bypass has been undertaken. This project includes two tunnels, each 3,300 m long, one non-level interchange, and three bridges. Upon completion, the route length will be reduced from 21 Km to 12 Km, significantly improving travel efficiency and safety.

Section 1 of the project has been operational since 2013, and construction of Section 2 commenced in the second half of the same year.

This route is also part of the Pardis–Polur Freeway, a 24-Km corridor extending from West Bumehen to Polur, which is currently being upgraded and reclassified as a freeway to meet modern transportation standards.

Iran Oston Consulting Engineers has served as the Employer’s Consultant, responsible for technical studies and construction supervision on this project.
