It is apart of Tehran-Bandar Imam freeway, which is about 104kmlong, which is 65kmless than the same length on the existing road. Due to the route passing through the difficult area of the Zagros mountains, fifteen 26kmlong tunnels with a length of 26 km and fourteen bridges with a length of 2600 m have been built on this freeway. It is one of the largest and best freeway projects in the country.
